Jim Corbett National Park got its name in 1957 after the famous naturalist and photographer Jim Corbett. It is the first national park in India and is beyond India’s most attractive park. The park is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, with varying heights full of lush, greenery, and uneven mountains ranging from about 1300 feet to 4000 feet.

Jim Corbett National Park has a temperate climate and one can plan a visit here at any time during the months except the monsoon, as parts of the national park have since closed. Winter is the best time to visit the park due to the pleasant weather during the months of November to February. Animals can also be easily spotted in the forest during this period. It is also the best time for bird watchers as there can be a lot of diversity during this period. Summer is also beaming, but perhaps it is not easy. There are only places to see near the pond.

1 Jungle Safari
A safari is the best way to explore any national park. Jim Corbett is divided into five areas to enjoy a safari. These are Dhela Zone, Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Durgadevi Zone and Dhikala Zone in Jim Corbett National Park.

2 River Rafting
If you are an adventure lover, Corbett has another exciting water activity. One can enjoy river rafting in the Kosi river. It is a seasonal sport that can be enjoyed here and is often available during the rainy season from July to September. Activity depends on rainfall and will be unavailable in the event of heavy rainfall, as rafting becomes risky in such weather conditions.
